  • How much does shipping cost?
We use a different flat rate for different regions of the US. All shipments are fulfilled by UPS and are sent via Next Day Air. Check the table below to see which zone your state falls in. * Please note that if you are ordering from Hawaii, make sure that you have all the necessary permits from the Hawaii Department of Agriculture before placing an order.
  • Do you ship internationally?
At this time we only ship within the USA.
  • Can you ship to everywhere in the US?
We ship to all 50 states. Please note that Hawaii residents require an import permit from the Hawaii department of Agriculture. We do not ship to Puerto Rico or any other US territories.
  • Do you ship to Canada?
At this time our fish are only available in the USA. We hope to be shipping across Canada very soon. We will announce Canadian availability on our website and social media accounts.
  • What if my fish arrives alive but I am unsatisfied for a different reason?
If you are unsatisfied for another reason besides DOA please request a refund through the My Account page explaining the issue. These requests will be granted or denied at our discretion.
  • What happens if I receive a fish that is Dead On Arrival?
We stand behind the quality and health of all of our koi, however, these are live animals and the shipping process can occasionally be so distressing to them that they do not survive. To mitigate the risk to you, we guarantee our fish for 5 days after delivery. If you receive a fish that is DOA take a picture and upload it through My Account in the Request a Refund tab, to receive a full refund minus shipping cost. We will process your claim within 48 hours.
  • Live Arrival Guarantee
We want to ensure you are fully satisfied with your purchase so we guarantee our fish will arrive alive. The shipping process can be stressful and exhausting for the fish, and occasionally one will not survive. To mitigate the risk to you we will fully refund the price of the fish that is DOA, minus shipping charges. Some koi sellers are distributors, which means that they resell koi that they've purchased from koi farms. Most distributors are careful, but health problems can easily arise if fish from different farms are mixed together. As fish farmers, we have the direct advantage of overseeing the growth of our koi every step of the way. This means that we can confidently stand behind the health and quality of our fish and you can be confident in the health of the koi you receive.
  • Can I return a fish if I am unsatisfied with it?
Unfortunately not. In order to maintain the biosecurity of our farm, we can not accept returns under any circumstances. If you are unsatisfied with your fish for any reason and would like to request a refund, log in to My Account and file a claim. Requests made for reasons other than DOA will be granted at our discretion.
  • How accurate is the sex of any particular koi?
We use our knowledge and experience to make this as accurate as possible, but in some cases it can be quite challenging to determine the sex of a koi. Where it is too difficult to tell we have labeled the sex as "unknown". The sex of all of our koi are our best guess and by no means guaranteed.
  • How are fish measured?
All our fish are measured from tip to tail, which is the industry standard.
  • I don't see the type of koi I want on the website, can I contact you to make a specific request?
Currently we are not set up to handle special requests. Everything we have for sale is listed on the website. However, we are adding new fish all the time! So feel free to check back and see if any new arrivals meet your needs.
  • Should I quarantine my koi once it arrives?
It is always recommended to quarantine any new arrivals for 2-3 weeks in a system fully independent of your pond. This gives your koi time to relax and recuperate after the stressful journey to you, and give it the best chance of successfully integrating into your pond.
